Web Developer

A Web Developer at Arcane will work primarily in a team environment with our diverse and talented team of developers to create and execute original visual design concepts using a variety of technology stacks. The ideal person will be a confident coder with strong solution planning and debugging skills. We look for candidates with proven experience in agency or corporate backgrounds, with the self-drive to help our clients sell more.

Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with account managers to understand, estimate, prioritize, and implement requests for change

  • Create back-end solutions in team operating with a variety of tech-stacks (.NET, C#/Java, MSSQL or PHP, Laravel, MySQL)

  • Develop/integrate RESTful API projects within Web Applications

  • Act as an experienced, passionate Web Developer, upholding our mission, vision and values through interactions with clients and peers

  • Participate in team solutions planning, design reviews and client requirements sessions

  • Assist in the creation of accurate costing estimates and delivery timelines

  • Work with junior/co-op developers to maximize both their project contributions and education opportunity

Qualifications:

  • Proven web development experience in an agency or corporate environment

  • Proven, thorough knowledge of .NET, C#/Java, MSSQL or PHP, Laravel, MySQL

  • Strong HTML, CSS, & JavaScript (core, libraries, and/or frameworks) fundamentals are a must

  • Understanding and experience with third party service integrations via RESTful APIs or web services

  • Ability and enthusiasm to adapt and expand technology skills to changing industry demands

  • Advanced understanding of web authoring and publishing tools

  • Good understanding of common design software/tools including Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, and InVision

  • Experience using version control (Git) in a team setting

  • Excellent debugging/problem-solving skills and the ability to work and problem solve independently

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues and clients

  • A combination of creativity, technology, passion and skill, with absolute drive to deliver according to plan and on time

  • Exhibit the ability to turn around quality work under sometimes aggressive deadlines, as well as influence and drive for visual and functional excellence

Digital Media Intern

Responsibilities:   

  • Directly contribute to building and publishing campaigns for various clients

  • Audit SEO performance of various clients and provide suggestions for improvement

  • Analyze performance of SEM/Social campaigns

  • Analyze campaign data, reporting on performance trends and data anomalies, and identifying opportunities for optimization

  • Help identify internal opportunities for optimization

  • Participate in kick-off, reporting, and internal meetings with the greater Arcane team and with clients

  • Participate in strategic and creative brainstorming

  • Research the changing landscape of digital marketing and the different channels we use (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a College or University program with a co-op or internship component

  • Excellent skills with MS Office (Excel!) programs and Google Docs/Sheets

  • Ability to navigate social media platforms very easily

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Familiarity with Google AdWords and Analytics — you will be required to become Google AdWords & Analytics certified as a prerequisite to being hired

Account Coordinator Intern

Responsibilities:

Manage Client Partnership Programs

  • Organization is key – this person will love Excel more than life itself

  • Monthly organization of hundreds of client activations

  • Communication with client as needed

  • Ability to manage a workback schedule, highlighting critical decision and due dates

  • Ensure the right teams get the right information – data, due dates, and assets

  • This role will require someone who isn’t afraid to speak up and reach out to other departments (projects require collaboration of digital marketing, developers, designers, translators, etc.)

  • The ability to speak French an asset

Internal Operations

  • Support Senior Account Managers in planning and execution of various client campaigns including but not limited to websites, apps, digital media buys, Google Adword campaigns, SEO strategies, email, CRM, and social media strategies

  • Assist on account specific needs such as forecasting and budgeting required hours

  • Identify and communicate new opportunities with existing accounts

  • Understand brand objectives for each client and participate in ideation sessions

Reporting

  • Ensuring monthly reports are requested and delivered in a timely manner

  • Work with multifunctional team to gain coaching and insights from each specific report

Digital Marketing

  • Participation in brainstorming for clients’ content calendars and digital campaigns

  • Assist in pulling reports on accounts and analytics

  • Social media research

Manager, Strategic Partnerships

The Manager, Strategic Partnerships will support new business development efforts in the Greater Ontario market, with a primary focus on Southwestern Ontario. This role will work out of our London, Ontario office focusing on generating new business opportunities, servicing existing or incoming opportunities, and finding efficiencies in their role.

Responsibilities:

Opportunity Coordination

  • Helps to manage profitability of portfolio, budgets, project scope, and initial client satisfaction

  • Understands our clients’ key contacts, organization structures, processes, and business plans

  • Anticipates our team’s needs, identifies solutions, acts in our best interest to increase the value of service

  • Tracks and manages communication in CRM, uses tracking systems to interact with other team members

  • Collaborates with the Senior Director to support new business needs, including establishing scope of work and initial estimates for new business jobs

  • Collaborates with all teams to coordinate the successful and profitable start to new business initiatives

  • Prepares project budgets as required

  • Contributes to team morale and to the overall agency culture

Business Development

  • Assists in producing new business resources, such as prospect-specific pitches, RFP responses, print support, or coordination

  • Helps to nurture client relationships, identifies opportunities to add value to client's business

  • Stays current on industry trends, with strong knowledge of digital technology and marketing tactics

  • Partners on new accounts and projects, acts as the primary contact for internal account management team in understanding the client needs and project scope

  • Manages new client process while ensuring their needs are met, allowing for a seamless transition to the internal process

  • Coordinates ongoing support responsibilities aligned with Strategic Partnership to increase the department’s overall efficiency and profitability

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent experience

  • Previous sales and marketing experience

  • Proven understanding and experience with online marketing, branding, and integrated marketing principles

  • Previous agency experience is an asset

  • A passion for technology and marketing and their combined use in driving revenue, client satisfaction, and efficiency

  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • A keen interest in discovering marketing/business needs and opportunities

  • Ability to build relationships with internal teams, clients, and prospects

  • A demonstrated passion for search, social, paid, email, Web and mobile solutions and an understanding of how to leverage each to achieve marketing goals

  • A creative thinker with strategic thinking capabilities to support the development of innovative campaigns
